Just as there are things God calls us to DO, as discussed in Part 2, there are things God calls his people to NOT DO.
This is a somewhat awkward subject, because part of being saved is no longer being under law. We no longer live our lives simply based on “Do this” or “Don’t do that!” We are called to walk by the Spirit, not the law. Yet, the New Testament clearly indicates actions that are inconsistent with following Jesus. If your life is characterized by things that are contrary to salvation, then it may be that you aren’t yet saved, or that there is a serious failure in your spiritual walk that needs to be remedied.
